Patternity commissioned us to create a short animation as part of their first celebration of pattern in culture – PATTERNPOWER: SUPERSTRIPE.

They asked filmmakers & artists to create a series of eclectic moving-image works inspired by the theme of the exhibition – STRIPES. The aim was to encourage a more mindful awareness of the patterns that surround us all.

We chopped, processed and distorted images from their photography archive of every day urban streets until they became new forms and landscapes, then explored how they could combine and animate with sound.

Working with music designed by CHXFX, we looked for ways to mirror and respond to the audio in visual form.
